What are Wassies?
Wassies are small, cute, clumsy creatures that seem to be constantly getting stepped on, tossed around, and beaten down by life... but they never give up. Born on Crypto Twitter, Wassies came to embody the spirit of the small guys in life and in the markets: getting crushed by volatility, making mistakes, taking losses, but somehow always crawling back for another round. Their resilience, optimism, and refusal to stay down became the heart of Wassie culture and one of its defining symbols.
What is the Wassie company?
Wassie is a culture and IP company dedicated to spreading the Wassie lore and bringing its world to life through storytelling, art, experiences, and merchandise. Built around the spirit of the small, resilient Wassie, the company creates products and creative experiences designed to bring happiness, humor, and a sense of belonging to the community. From collectibles and apparel to digital experiences and new stories, Wassie exists to grow the lore while keeping its grassroots spirit alive.
Who is Maru?
Maru (@wasserpest) is the original Wassie and one of the founding figures of Wassie culture on Crypto Twitter (CT). By introducing and popularizing the character within the crypto community, Maru helped lay the foundation for what would become one of CT's longest-running grassroots lore movements. The original “Maru Wassie” remains the most iconic Wassie archetype and serves as the inspiration for countless characters, stories, memes, and community creations that followed.
Who is Inversebrah?
Inversebrah (@inversebrah), also known as Smolting, is one of the most influential anonymous figures on Crypto Twitter (CT) and the co-creator of Wassie. Widely regarded as a cultural historian of CT, he has documented and amplified many of crypto's most memorable moments while helping expand the Wassie lore alongside Maru (@Wasserpest), turning a niche internet meme into one of the ecosystem's most recognized grassroots communities.

Wassie Studios is Wassie's video and partnership studio. It collaborates with teams at the forefront of DeFi, crypto, and emerging technology to tell the stories behind their products, communities, and ideas, and to capture the culture and moments that shape the internet. What is Wassieverse?
Wassieverse is the official Wassie NFT collection and 3D experience. Each Wassieverse NFT is a 3D character you can pose in Canvas and use across Wassie games and tools. The original collection lives on Solana.

Connect a Solana wallet on wassie.io, then open the NFTs page. Linked EVM wallets are checked for Wassie collections on Berachain, Monad, and your Plush SoulBound tokens on Ethereum.
